QualiWare Go is designed with privacy and security at its core. As part of the QualiWare platform, the app inherits the same governance, user permissions, and compliance standards that protect your management system.

All communication between the app and your QualiWare repository is securely encrypted, and data stored on the device is protected to ensure confidentiality and integrity. The app does not collect or store personal data, only the minimal technical information needed to connect securely to your repository.

What is QualiWare Go?

QualiWare Go is a mobile augmented reality (AR) app that extends your existing QualiWare management system to mobile devices. Users can scan QR codes or images, view procedures, open manuals, check data, and log actions right where the work happens (e.g. on the shop floor). 

Who can use QualiWare Go?

Only existing QualiWare customers can use the app. There is no “sign-up” function in the app itself. 

How is user authentication and setup handled?

To connect the app to a QualiWare repository, the app needs configuration data such as Repository ID, Configuration ID, and Azure login information. These can be retrieved via a QR code in the QualiWare Go install wizard or entered manually. 

For first-time setup: 

  • Download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). 
  • In the QualiWare system, open the QualiWare Go install wizard to access the configurations necessary for app. 
  • From the app’s Configuration menu, scan the QR (or paste configuration from clipboard). 
  • For Azure AD / OAuth authentication: you must register com.qualiware.ar://auth as a redirect URI in your Azure App Registration and configure a “signin” scope there as well.
What features does QualiWare Go support?

    • Scan QR codes or image markers to open relevant objects or assets. 
    • Display content: procedures, manuals, external documents (PDFs, videos, images), text, open links, and interactive diagrams. 
    • Create or edit templates directly from the app.
    • AR / marker locking: The app can lock a scanned marker to improve stability in AR mode. 
What about privacy and data security?

The app does not collect or store personal data. It only stores repository-related configuration data (like repository and configuration IDs) essential to connecting to your QualiWare instance. 
The app may collect anonymized usage metrics (performance, error logs), but only in aggregate and in compliance with app platform policies. 
The app uses secure storage and encryption to protect stored data. (Implicit in “protected using appropriate security measures”) 
You can uninstall the app at any time, which removes its stored configuration. 
QualiWare complies with relevant privacy and data handling laws (e.g. GDPR). Check the terms and privacy policy pages for full details. 

Does the app integrate with existing QualiWare?

Yes. QualiWare Go is an extension of your existing QualiWare repository, so everything you capture on the shop floor is instantly available in the same environment your organization already uses for quality, compliance, and process management. Inspection results, maintenance logs, photos, and findings are saved directly into the repository and can feed into dashboards, KPIs, and OEE tracking without extra steps or double reporting.

What are typical use cases?

Use cases vary by industry. For manufacturing, some examples are:

  • On-the-spot access to maintenance documentation, operating manuals, and inspection checklists
  • Logging inspection results or observed issues (with photos) immediately
  • Real-time notifications of deviations
  • Ensuring that the same version of procedures is always used on the shop floor
Does QualiWare Go work offline or with limited connectivity?

Yes, the app supports offline access of configuration via biometric login when needed. However, deeper features (saving logs, uploading new content) depend on connectivity to the QualiWare repository. 

What platforms are supported?

The app is available on iOS and Android devices.

How do I get started / set up QualiWare GO?
What happens if I scan an object with no linked content?

If a scanned QR code or image marker is not registered in QualiWare as a Target Asset Identifier (or does not have associated Asset Object Lists), the app may not display content. In that case, you should verify that the object is properly configured in the QualiWare repository (Asset Management / AR setup).

Does QualiWare Go also supports integration with other enterprise systems
