A Standout Week for Real Digital Transformation Conversations
Blog post by Brenda Cowie, Senior Vice President of North America, QualiWare
Last week at BTWS Miami 2026, we had the pleasure of sponsoring one of the most forward-thinking gatherings of leaders focused on making digital transformation actually deliver results—not just roadmaps. While the temperatures in Florida were unusually cold, the conversations at the conference were hot with ideas and interesting new viewpoints!
Packed panel session
The energy throughout the conference was high, but one of the clear highlights for us was our packed breakout panel session, “Leading with Metrics: Making Transformation Measurable & Meaningful,” moderated by QualiWare’s own Brenda Cowie, SVP Americas, which drew a standing-room-only crowd of transformation leaders, architects, and executives.
Our esteemed panel participants included:
Victoria Saplacan – Head of Business Transformation at E.ON
Aarti Sharma – Director, Clinical Development Operations at AbbVie
Alexander Verkhoven – Consultant (Former Transformation Leader at World Vision Canada)
The panel dug into a few questions that are top of mind for every organization investing heavily in change:
What does transformation mean to you in your role and to your organization?
How do you measure success in digital transformation—beyond buzzwords and vanity metrics?
Rather than rehashing theory, the discussion focused on:
Metrics that truly connect strategy to execution
Measuring business outcomes, not just technology delivery
Balancing leading vs. lagging indicators of transformation success
What boards and executives actually care about when asking, “Is this working?”
Our conversation was sharp, practical, and refreshingly honest, encouraging panelists to share real-world lessons—including what didn’t work. The level of engagement, questions from the audience, and post-session conversations confirmed just how critical this topic is right now. If this session was any indication, the industry is ready to move past digital transformation as an idea—and start holding it accountable for results!
We also had some great conversations at our booth, where attendees were treated to product demos and meaningful discussions about how QualiWare supports current use cases they are tackling, such as tech debt, application portfolio management, transformation programs, AI initiatives, and enterprise architecture initiatives. We are already setting up QualiWare demos for interested parties!
We look forward to continuing the conversations with old and new friends in the coming weeks. BTWS Miami once again proved to be a conference where substance matters. We’re proud to have sponsored an event that brings together practitioners who are serious about turning digital ambition into measurable impact—and even prouder to have contributed to a conversation that clearly resonated.
